Such an amazing learning experience growing broad beans at home, and so far they are my favourite vegetable to grow. When I saw the seedlings on sale at the garden centre, it was one of those moments when you squeal and make noises out loud even though you are shopping alone!

I've always loved eating broad beans, and definitely excited to give these a go.
A few useful pointers I have learnt along the way:
they grow very quickly in good sunshine
strong and sturdy
easy for in small spaces as they don't grow too tall - these were under 60cm high
each plant produced a large amount of seed pods
the flavour of the raw beans beats anything compared the supermarket options
The images below show the broad bean pods and the huge beans I was able to get out of the pod. A few of them I was too excited and picked them a bit too early, bit I realised if I leave them a few days longer many of the pods then had four beans in them instead of three.
🌱 Handy hint:
Make sure to have canes or sticks and garden cord in your kit ready, because they can grow quite quickly
These plants grew really well in these 5L pots as shown below, as I also gave them some plant feed a couple of times. The picture on the left is showing how quickly they were growing and too heavy to stand up, so with a few simple canes and some garden cord or twine (should be easy enough to find some variety of these items in any garden shop) it was very quick and simple to secure them upright.
