Hi and welcome!

Updated: Sep 20, 2021

Hi there fellow plant lover! I'm so excited you decided to pop along and check up on my journey and experiments to growing my own vegetables at home. This has been a task I've been wanting to take on my whole life, but waiting to have a house, a small garden and the time to do so it's not an easy task, as well as life happening in between.

Life is about lessons, not mistakes, growth is simply a process of trial and error

I now have some space and more time to set this experiment up, then my friends and family encouraged me to also start this site to share my journey with you all.

In this short introduction I’ll share what you can find on my site, what YOU can get out of this, and my aims for my garden. The following posts will break down the different steps I have taken to setting up my growing areas, issues I have encountered, ideas I have tested, watching the veggies grow and much more!

So, to begin I undertook many hours of research looking into different techniques and options either online or chatting to others, for the best ideas to grow your veggies at home whether it's containers, a wall with recycled pallets or old scarf bags or any other option, it just depends how creative you want to get!

As we finally moved into our new house this year in January, I now have a small garden space which I can utilise for my veggie growing experiments! Although we have some renovation working continuing, the garden is such a mess, with building materials all over the place, but I made sure I had enough space to grow all my babies, which is why they will all be grown in containers and non in the ground over the next few months.

Over the coming months I will be documenting and sharing how this process has been going, hopefully you can share your ideas and stories too so we can learn from each other (head to the discussions page to share your tips and issues)

I do expeect to make mistakes, kill some plants and also ahve plenty of successful plants to harvest from over the next few months, because what I have learnt so far, is to not be scared and hold back….just give it a go!

Whether you are an advanced gardener, a first time beginner or only just starting to think about growing something, I would love for you to get in touch, share your stories, what you have learnt, what have been your biggest issues and successes and any other topics to discuss.

Thanks for reading, make sure sign up below to not miss out on next weeks activities!

Feel free to share your story, tips and advice on the DISCUSSIONS page. We would love to hear from you! 🙂🌱
